We are God's masterpiece

When one trusts Christ as Saviour and Lord, the process of moulding him into a beautiful human being begins. His broken relationship and fellowship is restored. God has never forgotten how He created you in the first place. He certainly knew that you are His masterpiece and the crowning glory of His creation. You are God’s greatest achievement. You are His perfect work of art. You are His poem. The Greek word for “masterpiece” is “poema,” where we get the word “poem” in English. God says you are my “poem.” Does it sound romantic? God has emotions too and He shows His affection to his beloved creation. You are unique and you don’t have to copy someone else, no matter how physically beautiful that ‘someone’ is. God has put special gifts into your life. You have unique abilities and personality. Yes, we have sinned, but He restored us by His grace. Ephesians 2:10 says, “We are God’s masterpiece, He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” ( Eph.2:10,NLT). The previous verses 8 and 9 say; we were saved by grace, not by good works. Grace is indeed a mystery, but we can see the evidence of grace working in our lives. Try to see these “workmanships of grace” to make us extremely beautiful!

Grace elected us in Christ before the foundation of the world Eph. 1:4 Grace pours abundant spiritual blessings through Christ Eph.1:3 Grace assures that we will be with Jesus, will be like Jesus, one day. Eph. 1:5; 11-12. Grace has made us accepted in the Beloved Eph.1:6 Grace proved the blood of Christ washed us from all our sins Eph.1:7 Grace reached out to us when we were dead in our sins and headed to hell Eph.2:1-4 Grace loved us Eph. 2:4 Grace gave us life Eph.2:5 Grace has secured our future Eph. 2:6-7 Grace has secured our salvation Eph.2:8-9

Thus, you are very precious to Him, you are the apple of His eyes. Because it is all by “Grace,” God does not want anything in return. He does not expect us to repay Him for grace. Otherwise it is no longer grace. All He wants from us is to love Him. (This is the only return He wants on His investment, so to speak). The work of grace in us must show real changes in our lives. These changes are sustained by grace and allows us to live for God without pressure from others. As the hymn says “Living for Jesus, a life that is true, Striving to please Him in all that I do; Yielding allegiance, glad-hearted and free, This is the pathway of blessing for me.” When we live for Him, according to His will, His NAME is glorified. That is worship! This is all what He wants from us. Please be reminded: it is by Grace, and by Grace alone.
