Life is an adventure

We have a beautiful promise and adventurous verse in psalm 23:6 which says “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Truly life is an adventure. We go by faith and we take risks. We should not allow fear to determine our future and our plans. Faith replaces fear. Faith gives you assurance that God is in charge. We can say with confidence by the grace of God that if we are in the centre of God’s will we are immortal until He takes us home. Christian life is an exciting journey that even before we reach a corner or turning points in our life God is already there in a very special way. His very presence, His love, His mercy shall follow us, sustain us, all the days of our lives. There is certainty in this promise because we know that all things work together for good to them that love Him and to them who are called according to His purpose. There is also a certainty of heaven after our life on this earth is over. The Psalmist calls it “I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Jesus calls it “in my Fathers house there are many mansions “. Our adventure begins on earth and will finish in heaven. This experience is for those who know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. My wife and I are on a study tour in the Bible lands for 2 months. We will visit Israel, Jordan, Turkey and Greece. At the moment we are in Manila for 2 weeks. We ask you my friends to pray for us that we might learn something special about God as we study some of the places and historical facts as written in the scriptures. We will try to be open minded about the things we observe and hear and grow in the process. This is our adventure at this moment and we thank God for the opportunity and privilege He has given us. It is a gift of God’s grace. Our adventure as believers, is safe in the hollow of His hands. All of this is because of His marvelous grace. All by grace alone.
