How to enjoy life

How to Enjoy Life? In life, we have the choice for every circumstance that comes our way. Either we will be loving, positive and thankful or are we going to be hateful, negative and resentful towards life? Our perspective on circumstance defines our attitude in life and on how well we know God's love for us. We need to enjoy life, this is God's plan for us. As Pastor Norman goes through the passage in ECCLESIASTES 3:12-15, we will learn from Solomon in his God-given wisdom on how to enjoy life even though we do not fully understand God's plan to us. It is our human nature to be anxious about the future, of the things that are yet to happen or is about to happen. We worry a lot and stress on things as we try to understand and know the IFs and WHYs of things; and while that is good to know and seek, too much of it can lead to a life of anxiety because we no longer enjoy life as it is presented to us. We adopt a mentality called Paralysis of Analysis. As we walk our Christian life, there needs to be a balance so we can fully enjoy life along with the gifts God has given to us. We need to accept the limits defined to us by God, we need to acknowledge that God's thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are not our ways. We need to learn to be grateful by acknowledging God's blessing in our lives. Let us enjoy the Giver out of reverential fear. Now, this is our response to God as we Enjoy our life: We enjoy Him, Love Him, serve Him, worship Him and as a result; we enjoy one another. The deeper understanding about God

The deeper understanding about God

In Today's preaching, Pastor Norman talks about on how to have that Deeper understanding about God through the book of ECCLESIASTES 3:9-11. How is our relationship with God? do we really know him? do we find ways to seek and understand his plans for our lives? Are we too busy for God? what is our attitude in life and towards God? - These are very important questions that we ask our selves as we walk in our faith in knowing God through Jesus Christ. We are God's wonderful creation and each one of us has that longing to have that relationship with Him. We thirst, we long, we yearn for that void in our lives and we tend to seek it in material things, philosophical views, human relationships, and vices - which none can satisfy. Satisfaction only comes by knowing God and His plan in our lives. It is only God that can fill that void we are missing that we eagerly look for elsewhere. Each of us has this natural homing beacon that points to God, it depends now on our attitude if we will follow the beacon or if we will dismiss or ignore it. Let us not suppress that desire and instead seek God. Allow Him to call us, and to embrace us in His loving arms, allow Him to call us home. In this sermon, we will understand our role in allowing God's will to manifest in our lives. We will understand that God is in control and there is no point in having a Fatalistic Philosophy in life because we are powerless to do anything; It is only with God that we can do things because he will guide and strengthen us. The more we know and understand God, the more we will be confident in His plan and purposes in our lives. We will also learn that God is in control and that His timing is always perfect. We will understand that God's ultimate plan is for each and one of us to be reconciled with Him through Jesus Christ. Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Summary: I. Because my God is Good, His plan for me is always for my good. A. God's timing and plan is for my good B. The son was sent in the fullness of time C. God is a Divine Artist D. Consider your attitude II. Because God is Good, He has a good reason for me to exist and live forever III. Because God is Good, He gives enough information so that I might continue to trust him.
